heres the thing, it isn't a .mov file. a previous project was an .mov file, i dont know how i got to that. i have no idea how to save it as a .mov file.

FCPX saves everything for you so im not sure how i would be able to save it differently.

I didn't apply a compressor to the audio so that wasn't an issue.

On the other hand, grouping the clips together like you suggested was definitely a help! The AC sound is now only at the beginning of each compound clip rather than each individual one. Still hoping to figure out how to get the the audio enhancement to apply to the beginning of my clips.

Yeah, easy. Take the first frame of the incoming clip, export as a PNG, in Pixlemator (or Photoshop) crop out the van (or whatever) and isolate it, create your graphic. Then import that newly created PNG back in FCP X, where you'll put that as a connected clip above the outgoing clip, keyframe it to animate as desired, ending up in place on it's last frame, before the actual edit point.

I run FCP X 10.0.8 and my OS is 10.8.3

I have tried all the suggested methods of allowing permission for all files.

Am I doing something wrong or is it compatibility issues?

Sorry that my reply to this is out of order. You're comments (as usual) are all very valid and I appreciate them all very much. I've really had a tough time getting my foot jammed inside this door since returning to Canada. I don't know what I have to do in order to get work in this venue and like most artists, I'd rather be creating stuff rather than sitting around waiting for a paying client. We're not getting any younger, as they say.

The industry has changed so much over the years and as sad as it is, getting paid for your creative work is easier said than done. I've replied to resumes which are requiring skills I mastered years ago but nothing happens. It's very frustrating I have to say. I'm not above doing anything. Like I said, I just want to be doing something and working at Home Depot is NOT an option. LOL!

By the way, I visited your website, downloaded a few of your FCP plugs. Looks like you're providing a great service there! Keep up the good work!!!

Hello fellow fcpx users
I'm upgrading my old imac for a new one. The only option that I'm not entirely to sure on is, whether or not to stick to a 1gb graphics card or go for a 2gb graphics card.
What would be the results of upgrading to a 2gb graphics card in terms of editing in fcpx?
I'd be greatful if someone would enlighten me as to which one I should go for & why?
