I have not applied any type of transitions. It seems to be a bug. I trashed prefs and re-installed FCPX and it is solved... But a new and just as weird phenomenon arises now: when I perform a simple cut, the audio of the second half suddenly goes way down! You see the waveform sink down. The audio of the first half remains OK.

So strange!

Hi there,

I hope you can help me with this weird problem:

every time I want to make a cut in my video, using blade, the audio fades out where I made the cut and then fades in again.

I have been searching everywhere I can, but find no solution.

Why is it doing this? How can I prevent this?

I want to edit my video without the audio getting all messed up with unwanted fades.

Please help if you can.
