@Scrubelicious : No you don't have to have FCP7 to use the plugin ... when you have paid your plugin, you go to the download page and you can get the FCP7/Motion5 version (3.2 i think) and/or the version let's say 3.2.1 which is in beta 2, for use with FCPX
