I would encourage you to maintain what I would call "collage style" to a minimum.
Maybe this way you can launch a bunch of surprises towards the end of the video.

This is Los Angeles based Latin Alternative act FITTER.
Three regular kids who are simply not regular when they go onstage.
Officially, it's my first music video. So, although I find it dynamic, the concept is simple.
It's a nice coverage from different angles of the band.
We shot them while they were recording live. Then I requested the boys to play the song a few more times so we could tape extra angles for the editing.

Shot mainly with Panasonic AG-HMC40p
Plus pocket camcorders Flip Mino HD and Kodak Playfull
Lights: 5 500 watts working lights (you see one of them behind the drummer)

Editing: As taught by Final Cut King, I copied every single shot to help creating the "film look" and also added the 3-way and 4-way Asymmetric Split Screen Effect shared in this forum by Simon Upsdell

I own a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.8
Recently upgraded it to 4GB and I've been attempting to make videos with Final Cut Pro X.
(I have uploaded a few to my youtube channel)

Since I have plans to start shooting with Canon 7D, I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions for me. Is it possible for me to continue working with these tools.
Can I accomplish good editing after adding G-Drive to my setting?

Yes. I'm new to Final Cut Pro X which is the program I use
but I have found myself very passionate about editing.
