Compound Clip not relinking files To save time, keep effects, etc, open the Timeline.
File > Relink Project Files.
Still takes up time, but at least you don't have to worry about all of the trimming and effects and crap.

Tilder key for moving clips Correct. I found I didn't have the new Colour Correction hot keys so I just added them to my custom set. I prefer this to The update just wiping out custom key commands I might have set before.

Recommended MPEG Streamclip settings for export to FCPX-friendly format? If you want to maintain best quality, go with ProRes 422. H.264 or any other highly compressed Long GOP codec will show generational degradation quickly.
