How big are your biggest event/project file? Biggest Event File 70MB

Remember though that FCP X is a 64 bit program so it's never going to come up against the same memory limitation that FCP 7 will.

SSD - faster FCPX performance as system drive or scratch disk? Just ordered a Helios thunderbolt expansion, with a 240 gig SSD
and esata ports
Should i make the SSD my system drive and use esata for scratch disk or

Lens Flare Transition Issue Can we get a screen shot of your timeline?
Why are you using a blend mode with a title template? That should not be needed. How does a black solid get introduced into a title template?

Export Range Selection Use the Range tool (R) to select a range. When you export, only that active range will export. Anything that falls inside that rage will export, even if it is a connected clip or anything.
