Amir Meirom created a new topic ' Mac mini and FCPX' in the forum.My 2008 24" iMac has lost its logic board. A new one is expensive. My FCPX events & projects are on external drive.
It's time to move on.
I am thinking about buying the new Mac mini with full configuration; i7 processor 2.6 GHz,
16 GB of Ram, 1 TB Fusion drive.
How does it work with FCPX? How is the Intel HD Graphics 4000 with full HD files, Pro Res? backround rendering and transcoding? Video monitoring with 1 or 2 screens?
How does the Mac mini in comparisom to MBP of the same price range? about 1500.

The keyboard commands shortcuts work only if the keyboard is set to English. When I change the
keyboard language to Hebrew the shortcuts commands don't work.
This is the solution to the problem I had in this topic.
In FCP 7 and 6 it does not matter into which language the keyboard is set. the FCP shortcuts work fine in both languages.

I purchased FCPX last week and I had the shortcuts problem ever since.
I encountered the same problems with FCPX trial version.
In Apple Support I got an answer to go to Disk Utility and to repair permissions, I did not try that as it seems an fcp problem and not an entire Macnitosh hd problem, but maybe I am wrong.

No I have not trashed the preferences as I use to do on FCP7, is it the same with X?
Are the preferences in the same folder as in 7?
I also have FCP 6 installed.

Amir Meirom created a new topic FCPX keyboard shortcuts problem in the forums.I have downloaded FCPX last Friday and I have a problem with disappearing FCPX keyboard shortcuts - original basic commands like: in - out, insert etc.
It is there when I start using FCP and then it's gone and the keyboard does not respond to those commands.It's mac standard keyboard.
relaunch FCPX solves the problem but it comes again.
When I go to FCPX commands - customize - most times I get what seems to be a corrupt keyboard command layout, with most of its contend missing.
