I would post more comments if I didn't have to log into Facebook every time. I also think you would get more casual comments. It seems that even as a forum member we still have to log into fb to post a comment on the main site.

my 2 cents or should I say pence worth.

Cheers

Tony

Tony,

If you click the Join Us box on the community page and sign up, it should give you the option to link your facebook page in.

Tony,

Link an account with your Facebook login here. Then in Fcaebook revoke the publishing rights

I think I've done everything including linking to my facebook profile, but still can't post comments to articles. I just get "bad parameter - There was an error understanding the request." Any thoughts?

Oh, and now that I associated my facebook profile, I can apparently no longer log on using my user name, is that normal? Learning FCPX is easy compared to learning fcp.co  !

I can only think you might have a security option set on Facebook that prevents the link. - I'd check the options

Using Facebook for the comments is a pretty good way to avoid spam. It also avoids having to log in everytime you want to comment etc.

Well, then I would very much appreciate some kind of specific instructions (i.e. "what security options?"), because I can usually figure these things out, but here am baffled. By the way, after linking with facebook, I had to request & reset my password for fcp.co in order to be able to log on again. Evidently facebook changed some things around (as it did warn it would, though I didn't have a clue what it was referring to). And I'm with tonypromos on not cross-posting to/from my wall, since what happens there is totally unrelated. But I also didn't understand your instruction to "revoke publishing rights" -- I assumed you meant the option "post to my wall", which I removed (?).

P.S.: I realized I did successfully post a comment July 25th. Maybe it's a problem with the specific news item (www.fcp.co/dslr/rigs/174-clip-on-lcd-son...tor-for-dslr-cameras) I was trying to post to. I guess I'll find out next time I have something to say ;)

Really do not like FaceBook link. This may be easier for you but is unnecessary and a really bad idea. It exposes your users to lots of security risks and identity issues. Please rethink/evaluate this policy. Thanks.

Sorry, but for the reasons described above, the Facebook comments are staying.
We have also noticed that a lot have disappeared and we are working to get those back
