Hello all!

I just ran into a problem with FCPX that I've never encountered or heard of.

I just sent a stringout to Compressor. I closed FCP down since it didn't need to be running for the compression o happen. but when I opened the same library up to check something, several of the media clips in the library had the little yellow warning sign over them. Apparently the proxy is missing.

For full disclosure, I'm using proxies of 4K footage. The footage is being referenced off a ISSIS partition, which was not disconnected anytime during the time I had FCPX open. The proxies that have been generated are located on another partition in the same ISIS, and again there wasn't any disconnection or unmounting while FCP was open.

Has anyone else run into this issue of disappearing proxies before? If you have place let me know if there is a solution to stoping this from happened int he future. The clips I;m working with a very large, and I'm trying to avoid having to transcode the proxies since that's extremely time consuming.

Thanks!

Don't close FCPX while Compressor is processing an FCPX timeline. I've seen various oddities happen when that is done. I've never known anyone to recommend closing FCPX during a Send To Compressor operations as a good idea.
