Anyone who knows a way around this?

I want to organize my smart collections in the library in folders.

I can do so in when organizing the smart collections in an event but somehow I cannot do so when organizing the smart collections for the entire library....

Thanks, Rob

Hello Rob,

Double-click one of the Library Smart Connections and in the Smart Collection window click " New Library Smart Collection". This will add a new Library Smart Collection that you can fully configure for any filtering criteria you need.

Hope this helps.

I know, that is what I do all the time. So now I have a lot of smart collections that I would like to group in folders.

One for shooting location
One for all smart collections of file types
One for all smart collections containing shooting dates...

And so on...

Any idea how that might be possible?
The option is greyed out, unlike when you try to create a folder in an event.

Apple developers, are you listening?.

Ah okay, I misunderstood your specific question.

Nope you cannot create new folders on the Library level. If you would like to see this option in a future update, you need to submit a feature request via Feedback (Final Cut Pro > Submit feedback). The more people ask for a new feature, the higher it will be on their priority list.
