Hello everybody. I'm using Pixel Film Studios propanel titles and facing some very strange behaviour of it's opacity. When I change it it affects the opacity of the clip, which is below the title as well. Does anybody know how to change the opacity of the title on its own? Picture is attached. Many thanks!

oh oh, not THAT company again …
in case, you own Motion:
right-click on that title in the Title-tab of FCPX, 'open copy in Motion'
uncheck the box on the lowest layer 'Title Background'
save altered version under a new name …

… if lucky, this should fix your problem.

Hi Karsten. Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately after I've done that it just removed the background completely. I also tried to put another clip underneath, but seems like that title connects all the media below it and changes the opacity of the whole thing. What I want is to make the only title transparent to see the clip below through it. Hopefully I'll be able to attach the image. Any ideas still?

I mean those grey panels to be slightly transparent.

… to be precise: have you deleted the Title Background layer? Or just unchecked ist box? Give the 2nd method a try…

Unfortunately, PFS has a really bad reputation conc. Customer Care…  usually, you should give'em feedback and they should fix that problem; but PFS is known for being very … silent. :(

It would help to know which PFS title package and plugin you are using and whether you are adjusting the opacity slider in a parameter of the plugin or the FCPX opacity slider.
