Just tried to output a file from 50i mxf footage and saw no problem. Anyone having problem before can do a test to confirm it.

Hi Joe.

We have tested this extensively. Everything seems to work as expected.

Hi Ronny,

Did you test a library with MXF 25i material imported with the ‘faulty’ version? Interested to know if such material needs to be re-imported. I have a client about to export for DVD and Blu-Ray duplication and I don’t have direct access to the library concerned.

Best,

Ian.

Hey Ian!

No, I haven't tested this. But I don't think you will need to re-import anything because the bug did not affect the media, it was a display error.

Thanks Ronny. I thought the damage was done on import as media imported with an earlier version of FCPX worked fine in the version with the bug. Also, some people were having output files rejected by broadcasters? If it was only a display issue then all should be well for my client. Thanks again.

I may have used the wrong expression. It was an interpretation issue, not a display issue. That's why exported files could show the problem and could be rejected. But the imported media were not affected.

Thanks for clarifying Ronny. That makes complete sense.
