I'm exporting a Project XML to my remote editor, and on all interview dialogue on the primary storyline, I have a Channel EQ and Compressor applied. Export XML. He imports the XML and opens it, and his levels are peaking very hot, at 6+db as opposed to my -6 to -3db. We noticed that the input/output gain on the Compressor effect wasn't matching. I had input gain set to -3.5db and output gain at -.5db, and his were both set to zero. Is this a bug? Anyone else having basic effect settings (audio color or otherwise) where even though they're default to FCPX, settings get muddled?
Thx

When exporting the XML, what Metadata view are you setting to?

Extended, Current Version 1.8
Does the view limit the information passed?

Would selecting the 'audio view' provide the necessary info, while also supporting my color corrections as well? What would be the 'all encompassing' view to make sure nothing's lost?

My understanding is that yes, it uses the Metadata view to decide what metadata to include. This seriously helps keep thing manageable. It's nothing to create your own custom metadata view to include what you need to transfer via XML.
