I always shoot my movies with my JVC videocamera with 50 p. Now I want compact camera Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II as a second camera. But only shhots in 60p. I live in PAL land. Can I mix 50 p and 60 p in the same timeline in FCPX ? The still camera shoots in H-264 format I think.

I mix frame rates all the time with no issues.

according to the Manual of your cam, pg#170 you can switch btw. NTSC (60) and PAL (50)…

And you should:
recording in 60fps with artificial lights 50Hz,, esp. LED lamps, can, depending on shutter speeds, cause all sorts of issues (flicker, 'bands') …

And a bit more serious: 30fps/Hz is just in US and Japan a standard … 'rest of the world' is 25 … so, there had to be some switch…
