Hi there,

I've used FCPX for as long as I can remember, and the consolidate function for just as long. It's an important part of my workflow, but lately, it doesn't seem to be working at all.
I will consolidate an event or entire library and at first, the loading wheel will whizz around like normal. When I consolidate again just to make sure, it will tell me like always: "The files already exist in the selected location."
HOWEVER, for more than a month now, no matter how many times I consolidate or move the files around to different events, they never actually consolidate and appear as missing files if I move the library to a different hard drive.

Has this happened to anyone else? Can anyone advise?
I can find workarounds for now but it is a serious inconvenience that it doesn't work the way it should!

Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem. Clients external portable drive has the file I want to import, So I set FCP to copy to library. Nothing happens.
I will allow me to transcode the file.
