Hi!
I'm quite happy with how the inbuilt stabilizer for final cut pro X performs, but have realized some weaknesses. When trying to stabilize a footage from a sideways moving camera, where at one point a foreground object travels through the screen, the stabilizer makes a quick zoom in for a second. Is there a way of getting around this, like editing the anchor points manually, or is there any plugin that could handle this? I only need to stabilize the Y-direction of the shot, while the object in the foreground moves in the X-direction.

Would appreciate any help!

I'd blade the clip to make that part isolated in the Timeline, and remove stabilization from it.

You may want to try Lock&Load from Coremelt, it just got a major update.
