FCPX Menu drop-downs Pink (not legible) after Catalina update 16 Oct 2019 04:30 #102073

This started with the electricity going out and I had to nurse my 2012 iMac back with safe reboot, then reboot, run some disk utils. Finally, I rebooted and it asked to update te OS. I thought, a minor update should be OK.
It updated from 10.12 to 10.15 Catalina.

Opened FCPX and it said update was required, updated to 10.4.7

OK, now the events/projects open but when I select any dropdown - File, Edit, Trim, etc it displays in pink with red illegible letters. Is it a compatibility issue with the graphics card? NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB

Any solution?

Switch off increase contrast and reduce transparency in Accessibility settings.

Upgrading the OS is never minor. Especially the major changes Catalina brings. Never upgrade the OS mid-project, ever. But yeah, known issue, what Tom said should work. System Preferences > Accessabilty > Display.
