We have been using an EVO system for a few years now with 4 stations connected and sharing media. We are using Final Cut Library Opener to collaborate on projects which has been flawless. We created a separate share just for Libraries as all media is left in place on various shares on the network. Nothing is kept in the Library. Up until recently it has worked extremely well. We started getting FCPX messages stating FCP cannot save changes to Library.Storage location for one or more libraries sis not available. Nothing ever goes offline and the shares are all mounted.
What I have done.
Delete FCPX Prefs
Safe Boot Mac
Disk Utility Repair
We have been working with SNS reporting logs to try and find the cause.
I thought it was a particular Library but it was happening in multiple rooms on a various Libraries.
Our temp fix was to move the Libraries off the network and store them locally. That worked as it should with no problems. The system was running High Sierra. We though perhaps upgrading to Mojave and the latest version of FCPX might be good. So far so good, however I did have one incident of it not being able to save.
Has anyone had any experience like this with Network Shares and FCPX Libraries?
