I have a library with a bunch of media that is all stored externally (and I want to keep it that way).

Except there is one file I would like to consolidate and store in the library.

The project is already built and the file in question is used throughout it.

What is the easiest way to change this one file from being stored externally to being stored internally without breaking the project and ending up with missing media warnings?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Put the clip in its own event. Change the library properties to store in library. Consolidate the single event, then change the library storage location back to its original folder.

I'm just curious why you need that 1 file in the Library?

The file in question is a small graphic/logo file. The Library in question gets copied and used by other editors, so this makes it easier to make sure that we all have the same graphic to work with and since it's small it's not a big deal to keep in the library.

Make it a generator and install it in every system. Then you don't have to track a whole other Library.

Thanks for the suggestion. Maybe in the future for another need that would make sense, but for this situation putting the one file in the library is easy and works well for us. Thanks again though.
