Im running a 2017 macbook pro version 10.12.6 and FCP 7. Ive had no problems running it till now. I recently purchased an external monitor but found out it was the incorrect type for my needs. Im waiting to get the proper monitor at the moment. Hoewever while nor trying to open a FCP7 project it goes thru the motions but doesnt open on screen, if I try to open again it says already open... how do I get it to open on screen??

As I mentioned in the post, I purchased a new larger monitor to use in film editing but it was the wrong type... today I finally got the correct monitor and what had happened that I had FCP in the monitor and not on the laptop and I didnt return FCP to the laptop. When I connected the new monitor.. there it was... in the monitor field. It didnt automatically return to the laptop mode and was stuck in limbo.
