// update, now version 3 , with OnScreenControls + Deutsche version//

IMPORTANT NOTE
To make the effect work in FCPX, you HAVE to make your clip a Compound clip! So, add your clip(s) to timeline, select it, hit opt-G.

Now, you’re ready to go: drag VVFixer vers. 3 from the Effects Browser onto your clip.
You get 4 modes:

vvfv3ui.jpg

ZOOM - the most common one, use the right OSC to select the detail of choice
STRETCH - stretches the actual frame horizontally, up to 400%
DROPZONE - to use another clip or still as 'filler'
COLOUR - for a solid of your choice

blur blurs, b/w tints the background black or white.

Finally: You can zoom the source clip to full screen width, then the 2nd OSC allows you to move the clip up/down

Avoid VerticalVideoSyndrome ;)

Hinweis: den Clip ERST 'Gruppieren'/alt-G, DANN den Effekt draufziehen!

Version II avail

added the option to zoom the source, up to full screen - keep in mind: high chance, a vertical video doesn't match your projects horizontal resolution! By zooming-in you'll instantly notice a quality loss.....

Karsten!!!!! you're very fun for sure I know. Here this time, you're also brilliant. I laughed a lot, this is an idiot proof video. A little veiled criticism, for a stupid fashion. Ben follow the advice of Karsten and sing us a song, I'm very curious to listen to you.
A smile Pielle

Nguyen

… my ol' hometown <sigh> getting sentimental :(
hmmm, this is an English spoken board, request is in German? ok, bi-lingual reply:

Moin Nguyen,

/English … sort-of…/
oops, the yearly good housekeeping brought up this forgotten post - apologizes, Nguyen!!
VVF is made to easily adjust 9:16 material into a 16:9 timeline, no universal 'double that clip and apply some effects' tool. If needed, done in a minute in FCPX:
opt-drag the clip 'above' to double it, apply Gauss, Zoom, Crop, Transform to your needs.
so, to answer the question: no, VVF only avail in video-formats…

ok, considering for a second the vice-versa tool … adjusting 16:9 to vertical timelines? … NO <shiver> … ;)
