tweet video FCPX

Arctic Whiteness, the guys behind the popular Final Cut Library Manager application have just announced VideoTweet. Upload video directly to Twitter from FCPX.

It seems like such a great idea, why hasn't anybody done this before? Tim and Vincent from Arctic Whiteness have just announced VideoTweet a €3 app that allows the user to get video on to Twitter quickly and easily.

There are two ways to use VideoTweet. The first is to drop a video onto the application icon or share directly from Photos. However, we are much more interested in the Video Tweet destination that allows sharing of video directly from FCPX. (It installs automatically.)

This software is the price of a cup of coffee and easy to use. There's no need to worry about formatting the video so that is suitable for uploading, the application and FCPX destination component will do that automatically.

One example, this app will allow live event producers to get video clips onto Twitter within seconds if it is paired up with an open file recording app such as Softron's Movie Recorder.

Simple, cheap and does a job that was a complete headache before. For €3 it's a complete no-brainer and if you don't mind a link on the tweet, there is a free version as well.

VideoTweet is a great addition to Final Cut Pro X functionality.
