resolve 10 demo lacpug

At the recent meeting of the Los Angeles Creative Pro User Group, Alexis Van Hurkman gave a demonstration of the yet unreleased DaVinci Resolve 10. Final Cut Pro X was his choice of source NLE for the demo.

We couldn't make the latest meeting of the LACPUG, but we did manage to attend the recent Supermeet that was held in London. On the East side of the pond, the event was organised by Michael Horton & Dan Bérubé. No doubt we will see the videos of the London speakers appear here soon.

Michael has just uploaded this 42 minute video recorded in L.A. of Alexis Van Hurkman demonstrating the new features of the yet to be released (It is still in Beta) Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 10.

Alexis knows what he's talking about as not only does he grade for a living, he has written the popular Color Correction Handbook and has also released the 11 hour long DaVinci Resolve Core Training.

As was highlighted by the withdrawal of the Color Assist plugin, (We have been contacted by Technicolor who said they are going to supply us with some more information) technology moves very fast, so it is great to see this product getting new features and keeping up with FCPX's development.
