Slightly later in the week than normal and the victim of a false start (which has been fixed!) Steve and Mark set out to build their ultimate Final Cut Pro X system based on the new Mac Pro.
The new Mac Pro is pretty amazing and we will have a new article posted on FCP.co very soon about our extended findings of living with the Mac Pro for a month.
But what would you buy if you wanted the ultimate FCPX system? In this new episode of MacBreak Studio, Steve Martin and Mark Spencer set out to build a 'money no object' collection of peripherals to join the Mac Pro in one hell of an edit setup.
As you can see the total bill for the system adds up to $15,000, probably more when you have to add on proper audio monitoring and HDSDI connectivity if you are using the Mac Pro in a broadcast environment. That's not a huge amount of cash when you consider how much HD kit costs such as VT machines.
Here's a list of the kit used:
All super cool and maybe you should lock your credit card away for today! Many tun ask to Steve and Mark, we look forward to the rest of the series where they will be looking at the setup in more depth.
