january FCPX roundup

We feature many new products here on FCP.co, but we thought it was time to post a range of new free tutorials for FCPX and Motion5 that have been published so far this year. Lots in there for Final Cut Pro X and Motion.

Let us start off with a tutorial on the the advantages of not using the Primary Storyline to edit the main guts of a project in Final Cut Pro X. John Davidson featured in our hugely popular user story and workflow walkthrough from Magic Feather, he's followed up with this tutorial on why working outside the primary might be the answer.

Staying with FCPX, Dan Allen takes a quick look at how to copy effects and filters from one clip to another and specify which ones you want and which ones you don't want the attributes from. He gets going after the cough.

On to Motion5 and a few tutorials on making lower third name captions.

Half Glass Full Productions show us how to make a basic lower third title effect in Motion5 for FCPX

Then having mastered the basics, we move on to a more complex lower third title.

And we finish off with a tutorial from Final Cut King on how to rig a lower third so that it can be adjusted in FCPX.
