As much as we would have liked to call this tutorial "Steve Martin sings about colour correction,' we gave it the proper title of selective colour grading in FCPX. Steve does sing though!
It's Tuesday which means it's another episode of MacBreak Studio and this time Steve Martin and Mark Spencer talk about selective colour grading using a colour mask.
By using the eyedropper, a mask can be built that allows adjustment on the color board outside or inside the mask. A good mask can be created quickly by adding to the range of pixels that the color board will correct. A great tip from Steve on how to view the mask in black and white, the control isn't that obvious.
As always, many thanks to the regular duo for this episode and thanks to Steve in particular for the singing.
