We know we looked at using roles in Final Cut Pro X earlier this week, but these guys go into a lot more depth. One super useful alpha channel tip in there that's not to be missed.
Micha Schmidt posted a user example of trying to use roles to export audio, he wasn't hugely impressed by the results. It did however give a glimpse of how powerful the tool could be.
Steve Martin and Mark Spencer in this video go a few steps further. They show how you can assign roles to not only export out audio, but configure your timeline to make versioning easier as well. If you've ever had to produce multi-language versions of an edit master then you'll appreciate this could make your life a whole lot easier.
