One of the lesser known editing features of FCPX is the secondary storyline. So what are they and how and when would you want to use one? Our usual duo are on the case.
In one of the last episodes of Macbreak Studio, Steve Martin and Mark Spencer took a good look at the functions of a primary storyline when editing to music. In this new episode they explore the use of secondary storylines in Final Cut Pro X by grouping six clips together and moving them around on the timeline. And when Steve talks about 'selecting a shelf' he's not talking about his latest visit to his local B&Q store.
Many thanks again to Steve and Mark for the episode, don't forget to check out their excellent training books for FCPX and Motion.
