Since fcp.co's original article, the folks behind QR SLATE have added FCPX support, but there's very little information about how the program takes advantage of FCPX's heavy metadata based organizational foundations.

Do all the scene, shot, take, elements get saved as keyword collections? What about favourites? Or does everything just get dumped in the "notes" field.

The combined $40 between the iPad app and the desktop companion product isn't that much in the grand scheme of things, but I wanted to find out if anyone had used it practically yet, and how well it works.

Personally I have been using "Movie Slate" for years and love it. You may need to check with the developer about QR Slate and exactly what it does in X.
