I've been working on a converting .fcpxml files for use in mainly audio applications like PT, Audition, etc as well as Nuendo, Vegas and others.

I'm at a stage where I really need to check against some 'real world' projects.
So Im hoping a few generous people might be able to send me a few .fcpxml files (no media required).

Finally managed to get hold of some real world fcpxmls and I now have grasped the new 'trackless' paradigm.

Making real progress and expect to include an fcpxml conversion function in the next AATranslator release

That would be awesome. Us Logic users are very anxious to get something to go X2Logic as soon as possible.

The concept of no 'tracks' is a little difficult to come to grips with at first but much progress has been made and I expect our first implementation to do pretty much the same sort of conversion that X2Pro does - except of course not just to PT but to all the formats that AATranslator supports.

Need to try and get this knocked over asap so that we can get back to finishing AAF imports

Just a quick update.
We finally managed to get on top of a few issues and we will be releasing an update to AATranslator (v5.4.0) very shortly which adds the abilty to import FCP-X (fcpxml) and AAF formats as well as a heap of other improvements.

When you do, please announce it with a new thread with a link. I can help spread the news around when it's ready. This will be a huge boon to many of us. If I can use your app to get to and from Logic Pro, I'd be so grateful like you wouldn't believe.

Once released you will be able to convert from fcpxml to Logic via either FCP xml, OpenTL or OMF

I know folks who'd worship you if they could get Logic Pro OMF out of FCP X. What will the app cost?

We have 2 versions - 'standard' which is $59 and 'enhanced' which is $159.

The $159 version has all the formats that 'standard' has but also has OMF & all the ProTools versions from v5 to v9 and it will have AAF.

If I was you I would use the 'standard' version and go via OpenTL or FCP xml - either one will give you far more detail than any OMF implementation.

I hate to lose $100 but seriously OMF is just another Avid con job - I mean let's face it an OMF doesn't even contain markers/cues!
