I did a test for a timelapse project I had in mind a few weeks ago. I used QT Pro 7 to turn an image sequence into a .mov file and imported that to work with. QT 7 doesn't care on dimensions so it will be as large as your image size is. I then retimed and put a ken burns reframe on it to add additional movement (which the larger dimensions enabled me to do without losing definition). I've uploaded it
here. It's a test and there's a jolt halfway through where I had to change the battery but it's made me keen to try other timelapse tests. I used a demo version of some software that I wasn't that impressed with so I think I'll just pick up a £20 timelapse controller from ebay instead. Interested to hear other people's techniques/tips with pre and post timelapse sequences.
I used 3 different interval times in the test too - 30 seconds, 10 and 5. I preferred 10 in this instance but it depends on the subject.
