timeline disappears (but is still there!) 03 Dec 2017 10:26 #92058

I can't see the clips in the Timeline of my project (the Timeline looks empty but it's not). I can play the timeline (by pressing spacebar) and even add clips, but I can't see the clip representations in the timeline so I can't edit. In another project, the playhead cannot move. Anyone knows how to solve the problem ?

Have seen this a couple of times lately when I first open a project. I simply quit FCPXC and restart and the problem is gone and it doesn't repeat. I start up from an SSD so restarting is very fast, but no damage seems to have been done to the the Projects when this happens. Am on High Sierra.

This has been happening to me with increasing frequency. Trashing FCPX preferences and restarting fixed it. Or at least it happens way less now. Hoping the new high Sierra update and FCPX update coming soon fix this.

What do you mean by trashing the preferences ? How is it done ?
