Updated the new security updates two days ago to High Sierra 10.13.2. FCPX seems to be Ok, but my Epson C88 no longer will work and Apple points to EPSON and EPSON points to Apple. If I reboot from older system before these updates, the Printer will work. If these updates are causing problems on a printer, would assume others are having problems with other equipment. Hope this is not considered off topic.

No issues here with printers or anything at all.

Delete your printer totally from your system, then set it up from scratch?

Both Apple and Epson suggested this and tried it several times. Removing the printer and adding it does not solve problem. Only solution is to boot up from an HD with system before these updates. Will check back with Apple in a couple of days, but clearly they have a problem.
