Hi everyone.

So this is irritating me quite a bit. Previously before FCP 10 had support for the XAVC codec on my Sony X70 camera it copied the media to the library creating .mov files in essence duplicating the media.

When I choose to delete all generated library files to get rid of the optimised media it does nothing.

I have thought of going into the bundle and deleting the files maually and then relinking to the .mxf files but suspect FCP
won't link it. I know a lot of people will freak out about going into the library bundle but I have no way of "unlinking" the media like in Avid.

I have also tried the awesome tip from Macbreak Studio of reducing libaray sizes by choosing linked media and relinking to the actual source files.

I also don't want to use Edit Ready to transcode media.

Cheerio, I hope this makes sense.
