Audio out of sync? or just slow graphics card? 06 Jun 2019 17:35 #100130

I record audio and pic at the same time 4k 24fps on a G7 Pana

Playing clips back off the card on my MBP it seems there is a miniscule delay on sound to lips moving? Is that the slow graphics card not keeping up on my laptop and thus nothing to worry about'?

I have noticed similar things sometimes while editing. Not as bad as lips being out of sync, but sound effects I place on the timeline being slightly off. The best way to check is to export a clip and see if the exported file is in sync. If so, nothing to worry about!

Hm, yes odd

I will load the clips into my timeline and check them, Its only so slightly out I have no idea how I would split and re sync them, but I am sure a genuis on here will fix it up.

"Playing clips back off the card"

Do you mean playing them off the camera's SD card (or whatever format card your camera uses)? Yeah, it's super slow media, and you'll get that. Play it off your hard drive, it'll be fine.

If you got a clap it should be simple to resynch.
Worst case you can split audio and image and resynch with clap.
