Looking to edit some 8k 360 footage for a forthcoming project can FCPX handle it OK?

8K because I want to edit in a 1080p timeline and use full HD sections of the footage so I don't lose any quality from the 8K footage.

Does FCPX handle these big sizes OK? I know a lot will depend on the computer but my question centres around workflow and ease of use.

Thanks

Hi Marc, from having used FCPx for 360 it is a really smooth workflow. Both in terms of editing, grading, adjusting things like Nadir and exporting. Exports are usually quick. The only limitation I feel at the moment is that I cannot select a workspace larger than 4K (stereo/mono) considering there are both cameras that produce larger content as well as distribution channels that take 6 and 8K 360 videos.
