Is there any way to sync a selection in a multiclip to the viewing angle by using timecode (and not audio sync)? You can sync by timecode upfront when you create the multiclip, but I’m trying to add new angles after the fact and sync those quickly with timecode. These clips also have no sound, so audio sync isn’t an option anyway.
To provide some context, I edited a project in FCPX, then graded it in Resolve, and now I’m round-tripping into FCPX. What I’m trying to do is bring my color outputs into FCP, and then quickly add those clips into their source multiclips as a new angle, then just go into my edits and switch the clip angle to the grade. There are tons of speed ramps in many different spots, so if I can add the renders into the multiclips quickly and have it line up, it could save a ton of time, bypassing the eternal awfulness of reconforming speed ramps.
THe multiclips are long and finding the correct spot each color render should go inside of them has been a challenge. Yeah, there’s the whole double-click the multiclip in your sequence and that brings you inside the multiclip and sometimes, maybe, sorta positions the playhead inside to match the head of the clip, but that almost never works and is inconsistent. I have a lot of renders to add as angles, so if this is going to work it needs to be a fast process.
