Hello, I have problems on Mac OS Catalina with Sony SxS UDF Driver, whoever encountered it and how to solve this problem, the driver is installed without problems, but when downloading a video from Sony SxS Memory Card with UDF format on MacBook Pro, there was no problem downloading very much on the Mojave
I think you’ll find it’s not supported.
Sony haven’t officially updated the driver since High Sierra.
Have you tried Sony’s Catalyst Browse (free) software?
Hopefully you won’t need the driver if using a sxs card reader with CB but I’m not 100% sure.
It’s only officially supported up to High Sierra and hasn’t been updated for around 2 years.
Not sure why Sony hasn’t updated it since, but it doesn’t look as though the company is particularly bothered about keeping up with Mac OS.
Searching online, I found this information below. You could give it a try.
Operating System Requirements: macOS 10.12.6+, Windows 10 (64-bit)
Note: You will be redirected to the manufacturer's download page.
Description: SxS UDF Driver software enables read/write of MXF files recorded in UDF mode on SxS memory card. [Note: This driver is not sufficient to support the computer communicating with the device. You must also install the SxS Device Driver.] Installation of these drivers enables the Sonnet SF3 Series SxS Pro Card Reader, Sonnet Echo ExpressCard Pro Thunderbolt Adapter, and Sonnet Qio and Qio E3 to support UDF files
macOS Catalina Note: The Sony UDF driver 2.4.0, while not fully Catalina compatible, did in fact load on our Catalina system. It shows up in the System Information->Extensions as not notarized, but loadable. There is also native UDF support in macOS, so we're not sure whether the Sony UDF driver/file system is even needed, but it does look like it will work.
Follow these directions to download the appropriate software:
1. If you have 1.0.1 UDF driver, uninstall manually by removing these files:
2. Download and install the latest UDF driver, and then restart your computer.
