Hello,

My clients wants to see still images flying onto the screen like dealing a deck of cards. Is there an effect for that?

Just curious.

Thanks,

Eddie

Motion 5, and Ripple Training's Replicator tutorial shows exactly that! Shows cards being dealt and flipped around and such in a few ways, as a matter of fact. For a sample, check out the second to last video in the freebies at the bottom of this URL. Shows doing stuff with cards as a Replicator.

Also this episode of MacBreak Studio shows it as an Emitter.

Great! I'll look into that.

Thanks!

Yes, if you're serious about using Motion for real, Ripple Training's Emitters and Replicators courses are two you really must do, AFTER doing either their or Micheal Wohl's intro to Motion video courses.

I'll vouch for that; Mark Spencer's work on Ripple Training tutorials are really a great way to approach software that appeared daunting at first. I got the basic Motion training set first and found it very useful and educational. The pacing is perfect and the projects let you go along with it. Then I discovered the Replicator and Particle Emitter tutorials they offered, then sh*t got real. I think they're available at a fair price and FCP.co always has 15% discounts when new ones are available. Definitely something to look into if you're considering delving into motion, especially if you're familiar with After Effects.

I second that, intact if you got Final Cut Pro X and you are going to sticking with for awhile... Motion 5 is a must have in your arsenal. Unless you are After Effects user.
Still would have it on my drive. ;)
