I've been learning iBooks Author. For interactive presentations, I don't know anything better so far.
Ben,
I apologize for taking this thread off topic, but I have a book that's been in print for many years and we just converted it to the iBooks format via iBooks Author 2. We decided not to go through with it because evidently iBooks sell extremely poorly and Apple insists on having an ISBN number which costs the author $125 (for 1). We are not overwhelmed with the Author software either. Lots of gotchas if you're not careful.
My understanding is that Amazon has the market here on digital books and they are supposed to supply ISBN numbers for free. We do plan to convert to the Amazon format before too long.
Since you alluded to interactive presentations, what I just said may be totally irrelevant, but do be careful with the program, it is awfully buggy.
If you want to discuss more, contact me off-forum.
