Im getting ready to start shooting some bridal preps and reception footage with the Canon 60D and T2i at 30p, but will continue shooting the ceremonies with a Sony Z1 FX1 which only records at 60i. Am I going to have any problems mixing that footage on a FCPX timeline?

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for picture profiles to use for any of those cameras, to help make the footage look as close as possible? Eventually, I'll probably be shooting most everything on DSLR's at 24p and it won't be an issue, but I don't have all of the required lenses to accomplish that task yet.

There shouldn't be any issue with 30p and 60i footage on the same timeline. I do it quite frequently. Just be sure to establish your project framerate for the one you want...probably 30p...and then be sure NOT to conform the 60i clips or they'll play slower.

Can't help with the second part of your question...sorry.

Okay, thanks!

I understand what you're saying in the first part about establishing the project frame rate, but I'm not sure about the 2nd part. What do you mean by NOT conforming the 60i clips? I'm thinking you only need to "conform" something if you are going to put it back to tape? Am I in the ballpark here, or way off base?

Consider this example. If you set a timeline rate of 24fps and then drop a clip shot at 60fps into it, it will play at the 24fps rate. If, instead, you conform the speed of the 60fps clip in the retime menu, then it will play at 60fps in the 24fps timeline and will play back in slow motion.

In your actual case, both your 30p and 60i clips will probably have a timebase of 29.97fps so it won't make any difference.
