I seen this today the first time and haven't read anything about it.
I am guessing a database corruption... anyways in one of the Events there empty or blank clips, no name, or any other information.

Anybody else have come across this?

I've seen this reported before. Are any clips missing from the event? Do the clips there link to files in the event folder? Do the empty files link to anything?

Assume you did the trash pref, repair permissions, reboot dance?

No, no clips are missing nor are they linked to anything in the Finder.
Yeah I have done trash, repair and reboot dance. He decided to delete the files (after backing up the Event) since every Final Cut Pro X start up they reproduced them self.
Keep eye on this workstation.

Update to 10.0.4, update to the latest version of OS X you're running. That was fixed.

All machines are at 10.0.4 and the OS should be up to date. I will have to check it.
What could have caused this corrupt database or clips?

Just a couple guesses but ...1. improper shutdown of mac or fcpx application, 2. bad render files somewhere in the event or project. Did you ever sort anything out on this?

I used to see this a lot in a couple of specific events before 10.0.4. Actually it got to be rare in 10.0.3. But I just took those blank clips and moved them to the trash. After a couple of times they stopped coming back.
