Client wants to export based on file size
If you create an H.264 Mov it states in the compressor options that you can set a bit rate limit (using the Restrict to" option)

Motion 5 exporting to FCPX - video not showing...?!?!? Testing now, and mine is bringing the video over with it just fine.
Go back into this template in Motion, select the Drop Zone layer, F4 to it's settings, and verify the "Source Media" well is populated with your video file.

Compound Clip not relinking files That is odd. Fill out the feedback form for sure!
What if you re-launch FCP?
Can you right-click the CC in the Timeline and "Find In Event Browser"?
What if you do a Replace edit to the Timeline version from the original?
