Compound Clip not relinking files I wanted to be sure, as relinking event and project files are slightly different processes. And I'd open the CC from the project timeline, into it's own timeline (not touching the browser), and relinking. Just to see what happens. Very odd.

Tilder key for moving clips Correct. I found I didn't have the new Colour Correction hot keys so I just added them to my custom set. I prefer this to The update just wiping out custom key commands I might have set before.

Recommended MPEG Streamclip settings for export to FCPX-friendly format? If you want to maintain best quality, go with ProRes 422. H.264 or any other highly compressed Long GOP codec will show generational degradation quickly.
