As it says in the title, this is still a work-in-progress but you migt still find it useful and/or interesting, who knows?



Basically a Generator to create a heads-up display with two image wells - the HUD animates into position from a full frame image. The idea in the longer term is to make this modular to you can arrange the elements of the HUD the way you want them rather being stuck with this original template.

Not many controls as yet - a lot more to come if all goes to plan.

I would have said Terminator, but that's been played out.

As it stands, is there a way to slow down the movement of those graph bars on the right & the spinning disks on the left. It would be nice to be able to make them less frantic & more sinister, in the Orwellian sense.

In the actual HUD it would be nice to have some little red, blue & green lights that blink on & off - as essential as in that hospital scene from The Meaning Of Life - "Where is the machine that goes PING?"

I love the direction you're taking it, Simon. The color seems more military now, which gives it serious impact, nice of you to squeeze your grids in there too. Appreciate the addition of the green lights/meters. Would love to see the very occasional red light briefly, it raises the stakes exponentially (but can't be overdone). Yes, it certainly has more stuff going on now. My problem is that the eye quickly adjusts to anything that is repetitive & not random, then subconsciously dismisses it as computer generated. The little disks as the top that revolve one way & then the other are falling into this category, for instance. What could they possibly be monitoring? Whereas a vertical box field of random scrolling text & numbers, that varies in scroll speed, with occasional lines in red, really makes me take notice - "Wow, this thing is actually tracking something serious." Maybe minute traces from a hidden nuke, or listening for key words spoken behind a wall or cell network...
