I guess the name applies to what you see just before you blackout?
It's been so many years since I've done much of that, I can't recall.

When I saw the name, I thought it might be something to do with fading to black or some variation.

As I'm trying to organize my accumulating assortment of effects in a way that I can find what I'm looking for, I might just rename this Focal Strobe.
