Hey man in college what can I major in to be able to work with thhis kind of stuff making videos shooting editing acting? please help

Film making, broadcast, digital media, depends on what is offered at the college you want to do to.

There's more and more jobs in the digital media portion of the industry than film or broadcast. Ad agencies, web dev agencies, gaming devs, etc. Gaming developers are HUGE at this stuff, and probably bigger now than film or broadcast.

Indie videography for events, corporate stuff. Private production companies for high end corporate and promotional work.

It's a huge, growing field. It's going through major growing pains, as the technology is finally settling into pure digital workflows as opposed to film and tape. IT is more important to know now, as well as the creative.

It's also showing that the old myths stating creatives are not techies, and techies are not creatives, is now showing to have no basis in reality.

But we're getting off into a different thread than the original post subject.

Tx a lot, what a useful effect for production.

Once you download the zip file you can install by:

To Install Glass Slice V2 you can double click on the Install Glass Slice V2.mtt file and then hit install. To use the .mtt install script you will need the Motion Template Tool from Spherico. you can download this tool for free at www.spherico.de/filmtools/MTT/index.html

Or

You can install Glass Slice V2 effect by taking the whole “Glass Slice V2″ folder and placing it into your Effects Folder. This folder is located at “HOME FOLDER>Movies>Motion Templates>Effects>

I recommend placing it in the effects folder inside a new folder called “Effects by Mikey” But thats up to you!

Hello! I recently discovered this effect, and my jaw just about dropped. It was JUST the thing I had been looking for! So I eagerly downloaded it, and correctly installed it.

But when I try and place the effect on a clip, it makes the clip a solid blue colour, and does not show me any settings in the "video" tab of FCP.
I was just wondering if you've had any experience with this, or if you have any idea why the effect is not correctly working?

I can provide screenshots, and computer specs if necessary
A reply would be super helpful, as I would very much like to use the effect in question!

@Kai make sure you are on 10.0.3 if you are on a previous version you will get exactly what you are decribing. To update to 10.0.3 open the app store on your Mac and choose updates. Once you have the latest version the effect will work.

Oh bother, of course that's the problem.
Gah, oh well. I'm currently running the trial version, and rebooting it to 30 days each month with AppZapper, so that unfortunately isn't the current version.
I suppose I'll start saving for the full version XD
That effect is a must have, and needless to say, I'm sad that I can't use it in the time being.
