It's a REALLY cool effect. I like it a lot! :)

But I do notice one thing though. I find out once I apply this effect to the clip I can't delete it. Usually a delete key works with all effects but not this one. Is it just me?

I should have said it a little clearer. When I say I can't delete the effect is when I try to do this in the inspector.

I can delete the effect when expand the video animation in the timeline, but not in the inspector window.

Okay, I got it to download, but when I try to put the effect on my video, the clip comes up as blue. When I delete the effect the clip is fine...anybody know why the blue happens as it does?

Used the effect today and it ran well. It is a very 'painterly' effect, i like it a lot. In the movies>motion templates>effects i createdd an F Woods folder and put freds work in there, it shows up in the fpcx effects list clearly

I can remove/delete the effect through the timeline (using view video animation) but not through the inspector

Effects are not backwards compatible from what I have experienced. If you are not using the latest version of FCP X and the effects were built in the newest version of Motion they will not be compatible.

Well, I stand corrected. I just tried it and sure enough it won't delete. Not sure what could be causing that.

It's not a life or death thing so I am not going to get nervous about it. I really really like this effect :)

Yes, it is a pretty cool effect. I looked at the effect .moef files and folders to see if they were locked, which may prevent the deletion from the inspector. They were not, so I suspect there must be something in the effect structure that fcpx see's and won't allow it's deletion. Still a puzzle.

Is there a different link to the effect?
If not and it was the "V2" version it unfortunately didn't work for me...
