Well, finally made the jump after months of debate on whether to do it or not.

Yes I am getting a new Mac Pro. Thankfully the refurbished model saves me some substantial bucks.

So it's a 6-core model with D500. I also got a set of 32GB RAM (system pulled) and an open box 4-disk Thunderbolt 2 case from OWC. I will transfer all my existing hard drives into that. I save a few hundred bucks by doing this compared to buying brand new unopened ones.

My plan was to keep using my 2010 Mac Pro 5,1 until April but can't really do it anymore.

Yes it's a mixed feeling. Feeling excited about having a new computer after 4 and a half years :woohoo: but feel a "little hurt" in my wallet

Now God please give me more projects so that I can pay off this system quick ;) :P

Finished setting everything up only two days ago. Haven't done any serious test yet until I start to edit a new project end of this week. But so far this thing is soooo quiet. What a departure from the old jet engine tower
