Four feature, episodic and commercial editors tell us 'Why we make that edit'
What did you think you were going to do over the next hour and a half? This excellent discussion from the Editors Lounge concentrates on the craft of editing. Not to be missed.
Kittywood Studios - Now we know who makes all those YouTube videos!
As it's a Friday we thought we would share this video, probably the funniest thing you'll watch today and it's rammed with production values and effort. Brilliant.
A quiet day in the FCP & FCPX world so here's a video for Friday
Maybe it's because we are having an Indian summer over here in Europe and everybody might have taken the day off, but it's very quiet on the FCPX news front. A good opportunity to post a rather excellent video that uses pictures and sound perfectly.
Wacom Inkling - Transferring sketches into digital files
You may ask "What has Inkling got to do with Final Cut Pro?" Well not a lot, but it is so cool we thought we would have to mention this new product from Wacom.
An open letter to Canon from a disgruntled DSLR owner
This made our day, it's a few month old, but this rather excellent and poignant video has resurfaced. Enjoy the film, a few NSFW moments in there and the reason why it's doing the rounds again posted after the break.
This woman is seriously upset about FCPX
What with IBC around the corner and summer holidays happening, it is a slow news day here on the FCP.co campus. We were saving this for Friday but thought it might lighten up a dull Tuesday. NSFW
Move, Learn & Eat. Three awesome short films
We have seen the walk across America films but these guys take that idea to another level. Travel around the world and only shoot one second of video in a location. Amazing results.
Video remixing by ithacaaudio with 'Don't hold back, just push things forward'

A fabulous video for a friday.
A history of the Title Sequence
Beautifully thought out and shot, this short film pays homage to the designers of those classic film title sequences. If you like to think of yourself as a bit of a film geek then see how many titles you can guess.
Advice on getting your film financed by Lonnie Ramati
Slightly off topic for a friday, but these three videos on Lonnie Ramati talking about film financing had us glued to the computer for the duration. Worth a watch to find out the what the 'Three levels of scum in the film industry" are.
The best DSLR camera rig ever?
Forget Zacuto, forget Redrock Micro, these guys have developed the ultimate in DSLR rigs. We have no idea on price or availability, but we are sure there's nothing quite like it on the market. It is friday too.
Something completely different: Recording and mixing the Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack
We had a post on the forum that maybe we were getting a bit too FCPX centric. We agree and hopefully this will be a little break from the stream of Final Cut Pro news from the last fortnight. The Transformers: Dark of the Moon might not be Oscar material but boy do these sound guys have fun!
Photoshop tutorial: Creating custom vignettes to highlight the subject matter
A breath of fresh air after so much negativity over the last few days about a certain new piece of software. We had so many people viewing the last Photoshop tutorial by Sean Armenta from FStoppers, we thought we'd post this follow up.
